Happy "Hot" Summer from the Gately's!

I know it's been along time since I last updated the blog, but with 3 kids and all it usually falls last on the priority list. But,I found some spare time so I figured I'd update you on the latest happenings . So hang on and here it goes.

It's been a busy summer. Kids got out of school and started going to a summer camp put on by the City of Mesquite. They had a blast or so it seems. Alayna celebrated her 7th birthday on June 27th. Then Katie followed with her 1st birthday shortly after. Then it was off to Laramie, Wy. for our summer vacation. We had a blast. My Dad and Shirley let us stay with them. They were awesome hosts. Especially since we have 3 kids who are always on the go. Thanks again Dad and Shirley......We love and miss you!

While in Laramie we went to the Wyoming Territorial Prison that once had Butch Cassidy as a prisoner. We also took the kids to Cheyenne Frontier Day's...also called The Daddy of 'em All (big huge rodeo,lost of shopping,food and carnival rides). Then we got to see Taylor Swift and Kellie Picker in concert. What a blast...two awesome performances for sure!!!

We left Laramie after a week and headed to Colorado....Denver has an amusement park called Elitch Gardens. The kids had a blast......they got wet on rides and then it turned around a rained twice. We spent the night in Denver then left for Georgetown Colorado the next day. There we rode an old mining train and once again got rained on. We were all soaked but had a good time anyways. We left Georgetown the next day and headed to Grand Junction to spend the night. On the way to Grand Junction we stopped to see Buffalo Bill's grave. It is on a hill overlooking Denver. It was an awesome view. We made it home safe and sound on Monday night. We just got back yesterday from two days in Vegas. We got to spend some awesome time with family there. And had the kids pictures made. But, now reality has set back in.....John is back at work today and I go back tomorrow. Then the kids start school on August 24th. What else can I say other than it has been a great summer!!!

OH....by the way....Katie updated, she started walking while we were on vacation at my Dad's house! We are so in trouble!!!!!

Merry Christmas! We hope you are all enjoying the Holidays!The kids are getting so excited about Christmas.Me and John love watching the kids open their presents on Christmas morning. This Christmas is going to be extra special because we now have Little Katie and it's her 1st Christmas. She won't be able to open presents but Nathan and Alayna will be more than happy to help her open her presents! We are looking forward to our Christmas Day traditions.....Prime Rib for dinner and lots and lots of family time! And then of course our favorite thing to do.....play cards...Oh Hell! That's the name of the game, really it is! Anyone who knows me knows that family means everything to me and the more family I have around during the Holidays the better. Well....not much going on these days. Kids are doing good...getting bigger by the minute it seems like. John and I are the same. Next week is crazy busy for us. Tuesday is Parent/Teachers meetings....so we have to meet with Alayna's teacher. Then Friday is Alayna's dance recital and right after the dance recital is John's Christmas Party for the Fire Department. Which means I get to dress up and have a night out with my honey! Well, gotta go and take care of the kids and house before it's bed time! You all take care and be safe! Love you all!

Happy Holidays Everybody!

We are very happy to announce that our Katiebugs (it's a nickame...the "bugs" part.... that we use with all the kids) started rolling over 2 nights ago! She has been rolling over from her stomach to her back since October 8th. But, two nights ago she went from her back to her stomach! We are so very happy. Katie had a Dr.'s appointment on November 14th ( 4 month check up) and she weighed 14 lbs 2 ounces and is 24 1/2 inches long. She has started eating baby food now. She had her 1st bite of carrots today and loved them! She has tried applesauce and pears and likes them too. Nathan is doing really good in school with his grades. He passed every class last quarter.....that is a 1st for him and we could not be prouder! Alayna is doing good in school too. Everyone is getting excited because Thanksgiving is right around the corner. John and I are doing great as well...we just celebrated our 6th wedding anniversary! I'm not sure where the time has gone but it's been an awesome 6 years! Until next time....take care and have a safe and happy Thanksgiving!

Hello Everyone....Hope you had a greate Halloween!
I know it has been a while..ok...a long while since I have posted any news about the family.But since returning to work 1 month agoI have been very busy! Everyone is doing good here. Nathan is doing great in school...he has passed all of his classes. He is looking forward to next semester so he can get out of Tech class and get into P.E. Alayna is doing good in school too. She is still in dance and has her 1st recital next month. I can't believe it's almost that time again. Kaitlyn is growing so fast. 2 weeks ago she went to the Dr. and weighed 13 lbs. She has been rolling over from her stomach to her back for almost a month now.And has been trying to go from her back to front....but it's still a work in progress! John and I are doing good as well. We are getting ready to celebrate our 6th wedding anniversary next Sunday. He truly is an awesome man,husband and father! Until the next update...take care. We love and miss you all!
